The 25 Best Websites of 2009 Part 1: Apps
2009 is almost over, which means it’s time for us to list the best Websites of the year! We have divided our picks into five categories: Apps, Ecommerce, Content, Brochure and Experimental. Stay tuned because we’ll be adding a category each week day! Let’s start with the five best Web Apps:
- Grooveshark

Grooveshark is an online music player. Users can build their library from an exhaustive list of songs, which they can then listen to from anywhere. Its interface is polished and intuitive. - New York Times’ Skimmer

The New York Times’ Skimmer is a new way to browse their content. We like their will to innovate and the Skimmer‘s clean interface works very well. They also released the Times Reader 2.0 which is worth mentioning: It’s an Adobe Air application that works a bit like their Skimmer. - SeatGeek

SeatGeek is a Web app that searches the best prices online for sports and concert tickets. It works well and will make you save money, what’s not to like? - Hobnox’s Audiotool

Audiotool is an outstanding music creation tool. It simulates a real studio environment with great effect. I can guarantee you’ll spend at least a few hours with it! - Hootsuite

Hootsuite is, in our opinion, the best Twitter client. Its interface is clean and really intuitive. It really helps keep up with all things Twitter.
