Tomorrow is the World Usability Day!
Mark your calendars: November 12th is the World Usability Day! This celebration entirely focused on usability is organized by The Usability Professionals’ Association (UPA) since 2004.

For this year, Utilisabilité Québec (the Quebec branch of the UPA) is preparing several conferences related to usability with the theme Designing for a sustainable world. The gathering will take place from 6PM to 8:30PM at the CRIM, located at 550 Sherbrooke West. Here’s an overview of the different topics of discussion:
- Sandrine Prom Tep Chair of E-commerce at RBC Financial Group and Julie Saulnier of Bell Canada will discuss eye-tracking, physiological response and spontaneous reactions in regards to Website quality evaluations.
- Jean-Yves Fiset of Système Humains-Machines Inc. will talk about usability and sustainable development.
- Jean-François Boisvert of Desjardins Groupe d’assurances générales will present the benefits of using UI Frameworks.
- Yannick Roy of Yu Centrik will reveal the results of a worldwide study conducted by UX Alliance regarding the adaptability of international Websites and local contexts.
- Also, Alliance Numérique will present its best Web practices guide.
