Introducing the new Design

December 18th, 2008 by Étienne Garbugli in Kotsego 6 Comments

Design is an iterative process. The original Kotsego Website was launched almost a year ago and, since then, business objectives have evolved.

The design we’re proudly introducing today is the work of Baptiste Mounié, a very talented and creative Web designer we work with. The objectives for the redesign were identified through hours of analytics, various user feedback we gathered and usability issues that were identified along the way.

Here are some of the objectives we were working with:

  • Create a more visual homepage with clear calls to action.
  • Rework some of the visual flows to increase the overall impact of the pages.
  • Introduce a Feature client work section on the homepage and a Free Website evaluation form.
  • Create a stronger identity for the blog.
  • Change the default layout from 800×600 to 1024×768.
  • Make business contacts easier to find.

A company Website always has objectives. When these objectives change, it’s best to take a step back and reassess.

In our view, it was time to align the Website’s personality with our strategic objectives. We feel that the new Website is more focused, elegant and will ultimately prove to be more efficient.

What do you think?
